What kind of paint is better: oil or acrylic?
So, I’m a beginner painter. Well sort of…I tried to do water color, but it was too runny. So I want to know if oil or acrylic is better. And where can i buy the paints and what kind of easel should i use? It’s summer and I need a hobby. Please help me.
acrylic lacks the luster and sexyness of oils, but if you’re a beginner, you should DEFINITELY start out with acrylics. They dry faster and allow more clean layering. Oil paints can be incredibly muddy looking at first.
Try acrylics and then once you’re comfortable, move on to oils.
